Where do I find waivers for friends and family to sign when invited out on Fun Ship; or boat outing?

Use these, or request a form link from us for easy down load. Thanks.

Can you explain split-shift and full-day reservations again?

Sure. We are split-shift from March to November and full-days from November to March.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME.
We follow daylight savings time. When days get too short for split shift, we go to full days. When days lengthen again, we go wo split-shift.

WEEKDAYS.

The good new is that you can reserve morning and after shifts during the week.

ONLINE RESERVATIONS.

Allows Members to have FOUR reservations on the books at all time. Of the four scheduled reservations, you can use TWO of them for weekend reservations.

WEEKENDS.

THIS YEAR, we are testing allowing Members to occasionally schedule a morning and afternoon online on a weekend (meaning 2-3 times a year MAX) .

It used to be that Members would contact Sande Olson or Captain John Foster to arrange a full day on a weekend, because this is an EXCEPTION. But we are going to see how this works out. If abused, we will go back to phone calls.

SAME DAY, NEXT DAY.

REMEMBER, you can call the DOCK anytime for a same-day or next-day reservation. AND you can waitlist a boat in reservations. We get through out waitlist 97% of the time.

FAQ image

How do I make same-day or next-day reservations?

Simply call either dock for same day use... or waitlist a specific boat online in our scheduled Reservations system.

If you waitlist, we will call/text you the minute the boat is available

WE GET BACK TO MEMBERS ON WAITLIST 97% of the TIME

FAQ image

Is it possible to arrange for an early start time?

Yes, Members can occasionally request an early start time. We will work with Members as best we can.

It may not always be possible, but we make every effort to accommodate special requests.

Please text or call either dock (Safe Harbor Walden Marina or Waterpoint Marina) to see if we can accommodate you.

It depends on boat availability; we clean every boat before and after each shift.

FAQ image

How do I request overnight or extended boat use?

While we need to pre-approve the dock, It is possible to keep a boat over night on occasion.

It is also possible for extended use of boats. For example, in the fall reservations go to full days. Though rare, It is possible to reserve a boat for up to four days during full day shifts.

Over night or up to two days during split shit hours is possible.

If you do not have a dock, the boat can remain in a Club slip.

Please contact Captain John Foster. He will provide a request form. Email: [email protected] or text him at (936) 788-4344

FAQ image

How do I make reciprocal reservations?

Just change the location at top of Reservations, URL or Mobile App!

Each Sister Clubs set aside a percentage of their fleet for reciprocal visitors. Most Members are able to schedule without difficulty, however, If you find they have met their reciprocal limit, you can call the Sister Club dock on same day to see if any boats have become available, or waitlist a boat at the Sister Club online.

If you have challenges, call the Sister Club's dock number, which can be found on the main FBC website under each Club; search by location.

Note: Unfortunately you cannot pay for an extra trip once you hit four reservations at any one location. Sorry.

Without regulating guidelines, home Club Members may find NO boats available to them.

For more information, including international reservations, here's some helpful information.

We have tubes; just make a note in Reservations (please talk to dock to confirm availability).

Every membership is important to us. We are a small business.

We truly do not want any Membership to get to a point where we have to use a collection agency as remedy, but we will, if communications for payment fail.

FAQ image

FAQ image

What is FBC Plus (optional deductible buy-down) ?
How do I enroll?

FBC Plus is a deductible buy down program, it is not insurance... it reduces a Member's deductible by taking it from $5000 deductible for major/minor damage to ZERO.

It also covers the first $500 of any minor damage. The cost is $600 a month until you cancel. It will cover up to two drivers, click here for more information.

It covers Members at all FBC locations, so there is some peace of mind when you are boating in unfamiliar waterways.

FAQ image

How do I cancel FBC Plus (optional deductible buy-down)?

FBC Plus is billed annually on the same month you enrolled in the deductible buy-down program.

You can cancel a FBC Plus renewal at any time BY EMAIL, but payments made are non-refundable.

You will be billed annually-- in the same month of your initial enrollment-- until cancelled in writing (email acceptable).

To cancel simply send us an email PRIOR to the anniversary month of your FBC Plus enrollment.

We will confirm cancellation with you via email. Send email to [email protected]

FAQ image

What happens if I damage a boat?

If you do NOT have FBC plus, yes, you are responsible for minor and major repairs.

Members are responsible for minor damage such as hull or side scratches from poor use of fenders-- or from scraping a dock... or from beaching a boat. (Beaching is not allowed and FBC Plus is void.)

Damage can occur going aground or breaking a bibini (going under a bridge, also not allowed), etc.

Repair costs CAN be expensive specially if scratches go into fiberglass... or rocks/sand are pulled up into motor.

You will be responsible to pay the estimated damage amount, and any difference in actual costs when repaired. In some cases-- we may work with you to arrange payments.

Insurance

FBC provides a $1 million Insurance policy for major events; it carries a $5,000 deductible ($2,500/$2,500).

The optional FBC Plus program is not insurance, it is an insurance deductible buy-down program. It takes the deductible from $5,000 to ZERO. FBC Pilus also covers up to $500 towards any minor damage. It's costs is $600, plus tax per year, billed annually until cancelled.

If you are interested in FBC Plus, you can enroll anytime. The link is at the bottom of this page.

FAQ image

What happens if I am suspended in Reservations?

We work with Members as much as we can, but Members may be suspended for non-payment of dues. However, Members are immediately reinstated when dues are current.

Members may also be suspended in Reservations for non-payment of boat damage. Again, Members are reinstated as soon as payments are current or payment plans are in place.

Notes: Suspension from Reservations does not relieve Member from monthly dues payment obligation. Unfortunately, we have no alternative but to report non-collected payment to credit bureaus.
