Can you explain reservations again?

🟢 Anytime - Call/text Waterpoint or Walden

🟢 Schedule - 24 hours out

🟢 Waitlist - Any boat in scheduled reservations

ANYTIME RESERVATIONS (unlimited) Simply call or text the dock for same day, spur-of-the-moment, or next-day reservations.

SCHEDULE RESERVATIONS (limited to four at a time) Scheduled Reservations can be made using the Reservations Website or the Mobile App.

Only the Website provides members with access to Club Activities Calendar, Frequently Asked Questions, and Club Announcements.

You can schedule up to SIX months out, but you do have to schedule 24 hours out. If you miss that window, just call either dock like you would for ANYTIME reservations.

You can have FOUR SCHEDULED reservations on the books at all times. Schedule four, use one, schedule another one.

Of the FOUR SCHEDULED reservations, TWO can be used for WEEKENDS. It's one per weekend, but you can use ANYTIME reservations to go out more, or stay out longer!! Just ask the dock if the boat is reserved for the afternoon, or come back in and go out on another boat.

Call for details re: occasionally scheduling a full day on a weekend.

(3x per year max)

Sister Clubs

You can schedule boats at any Sister Club, anytime using the same reservation system; just change the location selection.

Can you explain split-shift and full-day reservations again?

Sure. We are split-shift from March to November and full-days from November to March.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME.
We follow daylight savings time. When days get too short for split shift, we go to full days. When days lengthen again, we go wo split-shift.

WEEKDAYS.

The good new is that you can reserve morning and after shifts during the week.

ONLINE RESERVATIONS.

Allows Members to have FOUR reservations on the books at all time. Of the four scheduled reservations, you can use TWO of them for weekend reservations.

WEEKENDS.

THIS YEAR, we are testing allowing Members to occasionally schedule a morning and afternoon online on a weekend (meaning 2-3 times a year MAX).

It used to be that Members would contact Sande Olson or Captain John Foster to arrange a full day on a weekend, because this is an EXCEPTION. But we are going to see how this works out. If abused, we will go back to phone calls.

SAME DAY, NEXT DAY.

REMEMBER, you can call the DOCK anytime for a same-day or next-day reservation. AND you can waitlist a boat in reservations. We get through out waitlist 97% of the time.

FAQ image

How do I make same-day or next-day reservations?

WE GET BACK TO MEMBERS ON WAITLIST 97% of the TIME

FAQ image

Is it possible to arrange for an early start time?

Yes, Members can occasionally request an early start time. We will work with Members as best we can.

It may not always be possible, but we make every effort to accommodate special requests.

Please text or call either dock (Safe Harbor Walden Marina or Waterpoint Marina) to see if we can accommodate you.

It depends on boat availability; we clean every boat before and after each shift.

FAQ image

How do I request overnight or extended boat use?

While we need to pre-approve the dock, It is possible to keep a boat over night on occasion.

It is also possible for extended use of boats. For example, in the fall reservations go to full days. Though rare, It is possible to reserve a boat for up to four days during full day shifts.

Over night or up to two days during split shit hours is possible.

If you do not have a dock, the boat can remain in a Club slip.

Please contact Captain John Foster. He will provide a request form link. Email: [email protected] or text him at (936) 788-4344

FAQ image

How do I make reciprocal reservations?

Just change the location at top of Reservations, URL or Mobile App!

Each Sister Clubs set aside a percentage of their fleet for reciprocal visitors. Most Members are able to schedule without difficulty, however, If you find they have met their reciprocal limit, you can call the Sister Club dock on same day to see if any boats have become available, or waitlist a boat at the Sister Club online.

If you have challenges, call the Sister Club's dock number, which can be found on the main FBC website under each Club; search by location.

Note: Unfortunately you cannot pay for an extra trip once you hit four reservations at any one location. Sorry.

Without regulating guidelines, home Club Members may find NO boats available to them.

FAQ image

Does the Club provide a New Member REFERAL FEE?

Yes! Yes, we do. Members receive a $200 Dues Credit for EACH new Member referred for a standard plan:
🔴Weekday/Weekend
🔴Weekday Only

The REQUIREMENT is that YOU or the NEW Member MUST provide the name of the referring Member by enrollment, not afterwards. There are no exceptions to this rule, sorry.

FAQ image

What happens if I get behind in my dues?

Memberships are 12 month terms.

We work with all our Members-- as much as we can-- because they have invested a fairly large sum to participate in Club membership. We want to help them protect their investment..

Every membership is important to us. We are a small business.

If you get behind, contact us to make arrangements to catch up ASAP. Please know, you may be suspended from reservations if agreed to payments fail.

NOTE: Unfortunately, being suspended in reservations for non-payment does not release Members contractually from their monthly dues obligation. Likewise, non-use of boats does not release you from contractual obligation.

Should you opt not renew your Membership and leave the Club with outstanding dues, we will work with you for payment as much as we can..

We truly do not want any Membership to get to a point where we have to use a collection agency as remedy, but we will, if communications for payment collection fail.

FAQ image

How do I make a late dues payment using CC or ACH?

Unfortunately, the Club is charged fees for each payment denial; therefore, dues that return NSF will incur a $50 service fee charge per NSF denial.

To help our Members protect their Membership investment, we provide two payment features to help Member submit payments.

Go to the Quick Help Links and you will find our two payment feature links for ACH or CC payments.

Members are able to pay via
ACH (bank) or CC (credit card).

Please note, there is a 3% bank service fee added should you use the credit card payment feature.

FAQ image

How do I update my bank information for dues?

Monthly Dues - paid by ACH (bank draft), not credit card.

Gas - paid by CC (credit card).

To update your ACH or CC information, here is a quick guide.

If you gave problems, please note: ONLY Member A can change DUES financial information; however, both Members can change their gas card information.

1. Go to Reservations URL (not the mobile app).
2. Click on the circle with your initials in the upper right hand corner.

3. From the drop down, click Account, then scroll down to manage your Account information.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

When you update your financial information-- either bank or credit card-- please email us to so that we can confirm system synch. Email [email protected]

FAQ image

How do I find my Membership term & date of first payment?

Upon enrollment, every Member has the opportunity to download a copy of their Membership with DUES start date, (our 60 day non-renewal clause is highlighted), along with terms & conditions.

Membership terms are for 12-months starting from the month of your first payment.

The month of first payment is the first month of you term, regardless of when you sign. This month of first payment is your anniversary month.

For example, if your payments started in June, then your Membership runs through to June of the each year.

If you need a copy of your Membership Agreement, go to your enrollment email, sign in and download a copy. If you no longer have your email, you can request at copy by emailing your request to [email protected]

FAQ image

How do I bump down to a lower boat use plan?

Yes. With a 60 day notice, before anniversary date, Members can bump down to lower plan on their anniversary date. An option might be moving to Week Days Only, or a Limited Plan with two outing per month.

Contact Sales/Memberships at the Club for details. Email: [email protected]

FAQ image

How do I bump up to a higher boat use plan, or to the surf boat?

Yes. You can bump up from a limited plan to weekdays only, or to the weekdays/weekends plan anytime.

You will pay the difference in entry fee and increase in monthly dues.

You can also bump up to the surf boat package anytime, based on availability. The upgrade cost is an additional $1,000 entry fee and and additional $150 per month.

The Member to boat ratio is kept low, and Members pay a premium for that availability. The surf boat requires additional training.

Each surf boat upgrade is limited to two members within a single Membership plan.

Contact Sales/Memberships at the Club for details. Email: [email protected]

FAQ image

Memberships are 12-month terms and roll over automatically until cancelled.

The month of first payment is the first month of you term, regardless of when you sign. This month of first payment is your anniversary month.

At the END of any term, with a 60 day notice, you can put your Membership on a 12-month hold. The cost is $50, plus tax, per month.

Simply let us know 60 days in advance of your Membership anniversary (Month of first payment). You just pickup your Members at the end of the hold year. Please email [email protected]

FAQ image

What is the cost if I want to return to the Club after leaving?

Every franchise is a little different. At Freedom Boat Club of Lake Conroe, Members returning within two years will be looking at a $500 - $1000 reinstatement fee. Monthly dues will be at Club rates in place at the time the Member returns.

We typically see 2-3 returning Members each year. We are always happy to see past Members return to the Club!

How do I transfer to another Club?

After your FIRST TERM you may transfer to any other FBC Club for a $500 transfer fee (paid to new Club); you will join that Club and sign a new Membership enrollment at that Club's Member dues rates.

Should you transfer, it is IMPORTANT that YOU or the new Club contact us when you sign/transfer to the new Club to avoid double billing.

If interested in transfer, reach out to the Club that you are interested in transferring to by emailing their Membership Executive and cc us.

You can find Membership Executives' emails on the Freedom Boat Club Website; make sure to cc [email protected] at this Club.

We are happy to assist you with your transfer process but ultimately we must receive notice or copy of new signed Membership to release your agreement here.

FAQ image

What is FBC Plus (optional deductible buy-down) ?
How do I enroll?

FBC Plus is not insurance, it a deductible buy down program... it reduces a Member's exposure by reducing the deductible to ZERO for major/minor damage, instead $5000.

It also covers the first $500 of any minor damage. The cost is $600 year, paid annually... or about $50 a month for two drivers until you cancel. Click here for more information.

PEACE OF MIND. It also covers Members at all other FBC locations, so there is some peace of mind when you are boating in unfamiliar waterways.

Click here to VIEW enrollment form.

FAQ image

How do I cancel FBC Plus (optional deductible buy-down)?

FBC Plus is billed annually on the same month you enrolled in the deductible buy-down program.

You can cancel a FBC Plus renewal at any time BY EMAIL, but payments made are non-refundable.

You will be billed annually-- in the same month of your initial enrollment-- until cancelled in writing (email acceptable).

To cancel simply send us an email PRIOR to the anniversary month of your FBC Plus enrollment.

We will confirm cancellation with you via email. Send email to [email protected]

FAQ image

What happens if I damage a boat?

If you do NOT have FBC plus, yes, you are responsible for minor and major repairs.

Members are responsible for minor damage such as hull or side scratches from poor use of fenders-- or from scraping a dock... or from beaching a boat. (Beaching is not allowed and FBC Plus is void.)

Damage can occur going aground or breaking a bibini (going under a bridge, also not allowed), etc.

Repair costs CAN be expensive specially if scratches go into fiberglass... or rocks/sand are pulled up into motor.

You will be responsible to pay the estimated damage amount, and any difference in actual costs when repaired. In some cases-- we may work with you to arrange payments.

Insurance

FBC provides a $1 million Insurance policy for major events; it carries a $5,000 deductible ($2,500/$2,500).

The optional FBC Plus program is not insurance, it is an insurance deductible buy-down program. It takes the deductible from $5,000 to ZERO. FBC Pilus also covers up to $500 towards any minor damage. It's costs is $600, plus tax per year, billed annually until cancelled.

If you are interested in FBC Plus, you can enroll anytime. The link is at the bottom of this page.

FAQ image

What happens if I am suspended in Reservations?

We work with Members as much as we can, but Members may be suspended for non-payment of dues. However, Members are immediately reinstated when dues are current.

Members may also be suspended in Reservations for non-payment of boat damage. Again, Members are reinstated as soon as payments are current or payment plans are in place.

Notes: Suspension from Reservations does not relieve Member from monthly dues payment obligation. Unfortunately, we have no alternative but to report non-collected payment to credit bureaus.

FAQ image
